US desktop-based retail e-commerce grows 16% in Q2

US second quarter 2013 desktop-based retail e-commerce sales grew nearly 16 percent year-over-year to USD 49.8 billion, marking the fifteenth consecutive quarter of positive year-over-year growth and eleventh consecutive quarter of double-digit growth, according to comScore. The top-performing online product categories were: Apparel & Accessories, Digital Content & Subscriptions, Sport & Fitness, Consumer Packaged Goods and Home & Garden.
