The US government has filed an application with the General Court of the European Union, seeking to intervene in Apple's appeal against last year's EC ruling which ordered the company to pay EUR 13.8 billion in Irish taxes, Reuters reported citing sources. The General Court is expected to hear the case in late 2018.
