US govt expects Israel to exclude China from 5G networks - report

The Israeli and US governments are nearing a deal whereby Israel would commit not to use Chinese technology for its 5G networks, Reuters reported, citing a US official. The official told the news agency that a memorandum of understanding was  likely to be signed "within weeks" and confirmed quotes in an earlier Jerusalem Post report. The newspaper quoted an unnamed American official as saying that the US was "optimistic that Israel will… choose to only allow trusted vendors in its 5G networks".
