US House passes bill to ban govt spending on Huawei equipment

The US House of Representatives passed legislation that would bar the government from buying telecommunications equipment from companies deemed to be national security threats, such as Huawei. The bill passed the House unanimously and could get a vote in the Senate as soon as this week, The Hill reports.
