US Millennials spend half of TV time streaming

Streaming is more popular that traditional TV among Millennials (18-34 year-olds) in the US, according to a Horowitz Research survey of 1,401 TV content viewers aged over 18 who are heads of households. Millennials report spending 54 percent of their TV viewing time streaming and only 25 percent watching live TV. Millennials also see Netflix as their first "go to" source when they want to watch TV or video content. Some 36 percent cited Netflix as their first choice, followed by live TV (29%), DVR/VoD (13%), YouTube (8%), Amazon Prime (4%) and Hulu (4%).
