US mobile market grows 21% to almost USD 400 bln in 2014

The US mobile market grew 21 percent in 2014 to almost USD 400 billion, according to a new report from Chetan Sharma. Voice revenues declined by 15 percent, messaging by 16 percent, and tablets by 4 percent. the biggest winners were the 4th wave/OTT services which expanded by 92 percent. Access revenues grew by 32 percent, handsets by 11 percent, and wearables by 150 percent. Verizon, AT&T and Apple were the top three players by revenue in the US market.
