US operators form Invest in Broadband for America coalition

Friday 8 July 2016 | 09:31 CET | News

The companies are CenturyLink, Cincinnati Bell, Consolidated Communications, FairPoint Communications and Frontier Communications; together they operate data and fibre transport networks in all 50 states. The 'Invest in Broadband for America' coalition warned that the proposed regulation could put at risk investment in fibre backhaul for the mobile industry and slow the roll-out of faster broadband to rural areas.
