US pay-TV provider losses accelerate in Q1, with only Sling bucking the trend

US video subscriber net losses in the first quarter accelerated sharply in the first quarter to 1.325 million for pay-TV providers representing 95 percent of the market, compared to a pro forma loss of 305,000 the year before, according to the latest study from Leichtman Research. These top pay-TV providers accounted for about 87.8 million subscribers.
