UScellular extends 5G mmWave connection to 7 km, over 2 Gbps

UScellular has announced a new milestone in its trials of extended range 5G mmWave services. In tests with Qualcomm, Ericsson and Inseego, the US regional operator achieved a fixed-wireless connection over 7 km, with sustained download speeds of 1 Gbps and an average upload of 55 Mbps. Peak download speeds reached over 2 Gbps.
