USTelecom, ITTA, WISPA start US broadband mapping project

Friday 22 March 2019 | 12:29 CET | News
USTelecom - The Broadband Association, joined by ITTA, WISPA and a diverse consortium of broadband companies and associations created Broadband Mapping Initiative, a new programme whose aim is to better map broadband deployment in the US and help close the digital divide. The initiative, beginning with a pilot programme in Virginia and Missouri, will result in the most sophisticated and detailed map of broadband availability in the US. The map will help policymakers and industry to more efficiently connect all Americans by directing resources to communities truly unserved by broadband.
