USTelecom says pilot shows better way to map broadband coverage

US operators say they have come up with a new way to map broadband coverage, in order to help the government award subsidies to more un-served areas. The initial pilot spearheaded by industry group USTelecom found that up to 38 percent of locations reported as served under the FCC's current system actually don't have any broadband provider.
