Valeo picks Gemalto technology for virtual car key system

Wednesday 21 September 2016 | 12:36 CET | News
Automotive products and systems company Valeo has selected Gemalto's security technology to deliver its virtual car key system, Valeo InBlue. This enables drivers to use their smartphone or connected watch as a virtual car key. Compatible with Android and iOS devices, it can also control apps and remotely access vehicle data using Bluetooth. Gemalto's TSH (Trusted Services Hub) platform provides Valeo InBlue with the necessary encryption so that virtual car keys' commands can be securely exchanged.
