Veon shakes up management and structure

Veon Group has announces plans to further simplify the group's operating model. The company said the new high-level structure will help create a leaner HQ with clear accountability and more efficient operating model. Kjell Morten Johnsen has been appointed as group COO, a role he had held on an interim basis since March of this year. Johnsen was previously Veon's head of major markets, having joined in 2016 from his position as the head of Telenor Europe. To support Veon's increased focus on emerging markets with a simplified flatter structure, all Veon's operating companies will report
