Verizon 5G network live in more stadiums, arenas

Verizon said its 5G network is now accessible in 24 professional football stadiums and indoor arenas primarily used for hockey and basketball games. The service is now available in 17 NFL stadiums and seven indoor arenas and will continue to add sports and entertainment venues throughout 2020.

Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband service went live in 13 NFL stadiums on 5 September 2019. This was followed by Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on 13 December, the stadium in Cleveland on 23 December, the stadium in Buffalo on 26 December, and at the stadium in Kansas City which was announced on 30 January. The first four indoor arenas were announced 18 October and 5G service went live in Buffalo’s professional hockey arena on 26 December. More recently, service was turned on in basketball arenas in Portland and Chicago.
