Verizon Business, Cisco launch new 5G services for sports and entertainment venues

Verizon Business has teamed up with Cisco to bring better connection and services to large crowds at sports and entertainment venues. The system will marry Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband network with mobile edge computing (MEC) capabilities, 5G Edge interfaces and Cisco's Sports and Entertainment products for a safer in-person experience and services such as contactless physical access, social distancing, crowd management, wayfinding and seamless payments.
