Verizon completes AOL takeover

Verizon Communications has completed its tender offer to purchase all outstanding shares of AOL for USD 50 per share in cash. AOL, now a wholly owned Verizon subsidiary, will no longer be traded on the NYSE. Some 47.52 million shares were validly tendered and not withdrawn in the tender offer when it expired on 11:59 on 22 June, representing 60.37 percent of AOL's outstanding shares. Notices of guaranteed delivery were delivered for 2.77 million more shares, or 3.52 percent of AOL stock. All eligible AOL shares that were not validly tendered have been converted into the right to receive USD
