Verizon CTO doubtful on Microsoft, Nokia offering

Verizon CTO Tony Melone has expressed doubts over whether Microsoft's Windows Phone in partnership with Nokia can challenge Apple and Android's dominance in the smartphone market. "I do want a strong third OS out there," Melone said in an interview with Cnet in Barcelona, "It gives the carriers more flexibility and balances the interests of all the parties. But I still have doubts whether Microsoft will get the traction they are hoping for with Windows Phone 7."
