
Verizon expands LTE services to over half US

Verizon Wireless is expanding its LTE network to fifteen additional cities and expanding covering in another ten cities, bringing the LTE service to more than 160 million Americans, or more than half the US population, in fewer than eight months. Consumers and businesses can select from an array of LTE-enabled smartphones, tablets, notebooks and netbooks, and hotspots to connect to the network now available in 117 cities. Verizon Wireless' LTE network will be available in Tucson, Arizona; Fayetteville/Springdale/Rogers, Arkansas.; Bakersfield and Salinas/Monterey/Seaside, California; Fort Collins, Colorado; Frederick, Maryland; Worcester, Massachusetts; Omaha/Council Bluffs, Nebraska; Albany, Ithaca and Syracuse, New York; Altoona and Johnstown, Pennsylvania; Memphis, Tennessee; and Provo, Utah. The company is also expanding its LTE network in Washington, DC; Tampa, Florida; Baltimore, Maryland; Boston, Massachusetts; Lansing, Michigan; New York; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; and Salt Lake City-Ogden, Utah.
