Verizon, Google mull joint hybrid cloud services - report

Verizon and Google are in talks to form a strategic partnership to develop hybrid cloud services, amongst other areas, CRN reported, citing multiple sources familiar with the matter. One of the plans under discussion involves a Verizon-branded hybrid cloud service that runs on Google's public cloud, said the sources, who all requested anonymity because the talks are confidential. One longtime Verizon partner described the offering as "Google cloud with a Verizon wrapper."
