Verizon introduces shared data plans for multiple devices
Verizon Wireless announced new mobile data plans for customers with multiple connected devices. The 'Share Everything Plans' include unlimited voice minutes, unlimited text, video and picture messaging and a single data allowance for up to 10 Verizon Wireless devices. In addition, the mobile hotspot service is included at no extra charge for all the devices. The plans will be available from 28 June for new and existing customers. Customers pay a monthly rental for each device, of USD 40 for smartphones, USD 30 for basic phones, USD 20 for netbooks/laptops/USB modems/Wi-Fi devices and USD 10 for tablets. The service plan costs an additional USD 50 per month for 1GB of shared data, USD 60 for 2GB, USD 70 for 4GB, USD 80 for 6GB, USD 90 for 8GB or USD 100 for 10GB. Separate plans are available for accounts with only basic phones, or data-only devices such as USB modems.
