Verizon, Microsoft connect Native American students

Verizon and the US Department of the Interior have joined forces to connect over 1,000 Native American students at ten dormitories managed by the Bureau of Indian Education by next year. The operator is providing students with high-speed internet service. They will also receive Microsoft Nokia tablets and digital programs to engage with STEM subjects and their cultural heritage. The initiative is part of Verizon's commitment to the community and to president Obama's ConnectED programme. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell added that the programme is part of the administration's Generation
