Verizon pays USD 21 mln for NFL game at Wembley

The NFL said it has struck a deal with Verizon, which will pay about USD 21 million to stream one regular-season football game over the internet this fall, the Wall Street Journal reported. The week-three matchup will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Baltimore Ravens. Verizon already has a deal in place with the NFL to stream games on mobile devices, but the agreement only includes prime-time and local-market games, and the streams are limited to viewers in the US. This one-game deal means Verizon can stream the game on any of its properties,
