Verizon says Wind Mobile takeover is one of many options

Wednesday 19 June 2013 | 09:38 CET | News
Verizon Wireless is indeed looking into acquiring its smaller Canadian counterpart, Wind Mobile, but this is only "one of many" options being considered, the US operator told Bloomberg. The statement confirms an 18 June report in the Globe and Mail. Wind Mobile is being advised by UBS about its possible disposal by Russian group Vimpelcom, people familiar with the situation said to Bloomberg. Wind Mobile itself would not comment on the matter.
