Verizon Ventures invests in Fan Controlled Football e-sports league

Verizon Ventures announced its investment in Fan Controlled Football (FCF), the new professional sports league that puts fans in charge and allows them to call plays in real-time. Other investors in the seed round include Lightspeed Ventures, which led the round, as well as Correlation Ventures, Next10 Ventures, and Basecamp Fund. Household-name professional athletes also invested in the company, recognising the potential for the next generation of virtual games and as a testament to a new wave of fan participation.
