Verizon Wireless to close 6 call centres, rely on home-based service staff

Verizon Wireless has announced plans to close six or its 18 call centres in the US, eliminating around 3,000 jobs, the union CWA announced. The move is part of plans to move to home-based customer service staff in the next year.
