Verizon Wireless to roll out VoLTE service

Verizon Wireless has announced that the next evolution in wireless calling, VoLTE, or Voice over LTE, will roll out to Verizon's nationwide customers later in the year. Verizon's VoLTE service will offer an HD Voice experience, using the AMR-wideband standard, the accepted industry norm for this service.
