ViacomCBS finalising acquisition of FTA channel Chilevision - report

Wednesday 25 November 2020 | 12:07 CET | News
ViacomCBS is close to finalising the acquisition of Chilean free-to-air TV channel Chilevision from the Turner Latin America group (WarnerMedia), according to unnamed sources familiar with the discussions cited by local business daily Diario Financiero. Following US-based negotiations between executives from ViacomCBS and WarnerMedia owner AT&T, the parties have reached an agreement that would involve ViacomCBS assuming Chilevision's debts plus an additional payment of around USD 14 million, said the sources. Turner acquired Chilevision for around USD 140 million back in 2010.
