Viasat acquires majority stake in Spain's MobileFleet

Italian telematics service provider Viasat Group has announced that its Spanish subsidiary has acquired a majority stake in Madrid-based location services firm MobileFleet for an undisclosed sum. MobileFleet specialises in real-time fleet monitoring, vehicle security and GPS services and has a strong Latin American presence as well as a Chilean subsidiary which is also included in the deal. Viasat said the acquisition will serve to increase its presence in Spain and Latin America.
