Video apps more popular with men, YouTube leads

Dutch men install video applications more often on their smartphones than women in the Netherlands do. YouTube for example, the most popular video application, is installed on 55 percent of smartphones owned by Dutch men, compared to only 46 percent of Dutch women. The RTL XL application is an exception to the rule, as the broadcaster's app is more often on women's smartphones, according to the May edition of Telecompaper's Dutch Apps Market report. The latest report shows that the top 3 video applications on smartphones in the Netherlands are YouTube, Netflix and NPO.
