Virgin boosts internet speeds, unveils new parental controls

Virgin Media has launched a new 152 Mbps top broadband speed and new parental controls technology. As well as the new ultrafast speed, Virgin has increased the entry-level service speed to 50 Mbps. Over the next 12 months, Virgin will increase broadband speeds for existing customers - 30 Mbps to 50 Mbps, 60 Mbps to 100 Mbps, and 120 Mbps to 152 Mbps. The new Web Safe parental controls technology allows account holders to restrict access to types of potentially age-inappropriate websites.
