Virgin Media launches new Super Hub for customers

Virgin Media has launched a next-generation Super Hub for customers with superfast broadband connections, powered by dual-band technology. It supports concurrent access to both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz wireless channels. It joins the operator's wireless hub range alongside the original Super Hub, which will still be supplied to customers on speeds of up to 50 Mbps. Virgin claims that independent Wi-Fi testing by Farncombe shows that Virgin's new Super Hub offered the fastest Wi-Fi, outperforming rivals on speed and range.
