Virgin Mobile abandons Peru MVNO, sells assets to Inkacel

Friday 8 September 2017 | 11:10 CET | News
Virgin Mobile has announced that it's leaving the Peruvian market just 13 months after launching what was the country's first MVNO. In a short statement on its Facebook page the company said it was regrettably abandoning its Peruvian venture after deciding to sell its assets and licence to Inkacel, a subsidiary of Spain's InfoPyme. "Without being perfect, we managed to change the rules of the game with innovative products and a fantastic customer service," said Virgin Mobile, adding that "other operators have already copied our good ideas."
