Mexican MVNO Virgin Mobile is interested in expanding its coverage and services by connecting to the country's recently-activated wholesale 4G shared network (Red Compartida), reports Expansion, citing the operator's new CEO Steve Logue. Virgin Mobile launched its MVNO service in Mexico in June 2014 on the Movistar network and still has an exclusivity contract with Telefonica's local unit that expires this year. Logue said the aim is to supplement the services it currently provides via Movistar by creating something complementary via the Red Compartida network.
