Vivendi asks two banks to look into Activision sale - report

French entertainment and telecom group Vivendi has hired Goldman Sachs and Barclays to explore the possible sale of US videogame subsidiary Activition Blizzard, reports the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter. Vivendi owns a 61 percent stake in Activision Blizzard, which has around USD 13.4 billion of market capitalisation. According to the sources, the banks have contacted a range of suitors including other game companies and private equity firms.
