Vivendi calling for TIM deal with govt on asset sale - report

Friday 5 November 2021 | 08:55 CET | News
Telecom Italia's largest investor, Vivendi, is pressing for an overhaul of the operator's assets in a fast escalating boardroom row, reports Reuters, citing two unnamed sources. After calling for an extraordinary board meeting on 11 November to discuss strategy following the operator's recent profit warnings, the French media giant is questioning the role of TIM CEO Luigi Gubitosi and pushing him to reach an agreement with the government over the future of the company's landline grid, said the sources.
