Vivendi CEO rules out Telecom Italia capital hike, cost cuts

Friday 8 April 2016 | 09:00 CET | News
Telecom Italia can rely on its own resources and has no need to seek a capital increase to fund future investments, according to Arnaud de Puyfontaine, CEO of the Italian company's top shareholder Vivendi. "A capital increase is always a possible option for a company but it is not on the table," de Puyfontaine told business daily Il Sole 24 Ore, adding that Vivendi had no requested cost cuts at Telecom Italia but simply wanted increased efficiency to maximise core earnings and investments.
