Vivendi could float SFR in one or two years

Jean-Rene Fourtou, the chairman of Vivendi's supervisory board, announced at the group's AGM that after one or two years dedicated to stabilising French operator SFR's operations, the subsidiary may be floated, but no decision has yet been taken, reports Le Figaro. He said that the strategic review which the group has been undertaking for over a year will take a few more months and that the governance is expected to change soon. Executive board chairman Jean-Francois Dubos, added that Vivendi was studying offers made by Etisalat and Ooredoo for Maroc Telecom, but would not sell it for less
