Vivendi plans to close Watchever – report

Friday 22 July 2016 | 12:13 CET | News
Vivendi is planning to close its German SVoD service Watchever, reports Les Echos. Launched in January 2013 and refreshed in September 2015, the platform has struggled to make its mark and has incurred significant financial losses. Around seventeen employees based in Germany have reportedly been informed that the service will terminate on 31 December. The development teams in France (approximately 100 employees) are expected to be redeployed within Vivendi's other VoD-related activities.
