Vivendi posts small underlying growth in H1 results

Vivendi reported revenues for the first half down 3.5 percent year-on-year to EUR 5.55 billion. The results exclude Maroc Telecom and Activision Blizzard, sold in the past year, as well as French operator SFR, which is pending a sale to Numericable. Adjusted EBITA from continuing activities was down 8.1 percent to EUR 626 million, and adjusted net profit declined 1.1 percent to EUR 355 million. Excluding currency effects, revenues rose 1.3 percent, and EBITA was up 1.2 percent, as growth at GVT in Brazil and Canal Plus offset weaker sales at Universal Music.
