Vivendi, which owns 28.8 percent of Mediaset, has registered to vote at a key shareholder meeting later this week over governance changes to the Italian broadcaster's pan-European TV plan, according to an unnamed source cited by Reuters. The French media giant and its Simon Fiduciaria trust hold 9.6 percent and 19.2 percent stakes in Mediaset respectively, but the broadcaster last year excluded Simon Fiduciaria from voting at several shareholder meetings, including those held to approve plans to set up the Netherlands-based holding company Media for Europe (MFE).
