Vivendi returns to revenue growth in Q3, plans IPO for Universal Music in 2022

Vivendi generated revenues of EUR 4.02 billion in the three months to September, up 0.7 percent year-on-year organically (+1.3% on a reported basis). The growth trend recovered following a second quarter hit by the Covid-19 crisis, when revenues fell 7.9 percent organically. The media group has confirmed its intention to undertake an IPO for its Universal Music (UMG) business, as announced in February, saying that it plans to list its largest revenue-generating subsidiary in 2022.
