GVA (Group Vivendi Africa) has started offering its Canalbox fixed broadband service in selected areas of Burkina Faso's capital, Ouagadougou. Availability will increase as the operator continues to deploy its FTTH network. For residential customers, the price of the subscription is XOF 30,000/month for a fibre-based connection of 50 Mbps with no data limits. A one-off charge of XOF 30,000 applies for the equipment, and the installation is currently included at no extra cost. A 'Pro' version of the service is also on offer for business customers.
