Vivendi to push for up to 3 seats on TI board - report

French media group Vivendi is planning to request two to three seats on the board of Telecom Italia at the operator's 15 December meeting, according to unnamed sources cited by Italian daily La Repubblica. Vivendi recently became Telecom Italia's largest shareholder with a stake of just over 20 percent but has yet to take up any seats on the operator's board. The report adds that Vivendi is expected to back the current Telecom Italia board, whose mandate ends in 2017, but will propose an increase in the number of directors from the current 13 to 15-16.
