Vivendi ups stake in Spain's Prisa to just under 10%

French media conglomerate Vivendi confirmed that it increased its stake in Spanish counterpart Prisa from 7.6 percent to 9.9 percent on 22 January. "Buying shares in Prisa is part of Vivendi's ongoing strategy to become a global leader in content, media and communications, while extending its access to the Spanish-speaking markets in Europe, Latin America and US Hispanics," said Vivendi in a short statement.
