Vivo to bring fibre to 25 new cities in Minas Gerais

Brazilian operator Vivo is continuing with its accelerated fibre expansion plan in Minas Gerais and said it will activate 25 new cities this year. The cities covered are Joao Monlevade, Itabira, Vespasiano, Teofilo Otoni, Patrocinio, Itajuba, Unai, Piumhi, Sao Joao Del Rei, Lagoa da Prata, Santa Rita do Sapucai, Lavras, Muriae, Matozinhos, Curvelo, Ponte Nova, Cataguases, Pedro Leopoldo, Extrema, Ouro Preto, Mariana, Leopoldina, Ituiutaba, Caratinga and Monte Carmelo, with a forecast of 370,000 new homes covered with fibre. Vivo offers broadband plans with speeds of up to 600 Mbps.
