Vodacom Group considers partial sale of M-Pesa stake

Vodacom Group is considering disposing a part of its stake in mobile money platform M-Pesa, the Business Daily reported. Vodacom CEO Shameel Joosub disclosed the sale plans at an investor briefing in response to a question asking whether it is likely to spin off M-Pesa or to sell a stake to external parties. Joosub said the company will consider selling part of its stake in M-Pesa if investors continue to ignore the value of the platform.
