Vodacom Mozambique threatens to end interconnection with Tmcel over debt

Thursday 17 June 2021 | 11:28 CET | News
Vodacom Mozambique has threatened to end its interconnection with publicly owned company Mozambique Telecommunications (Tmcel), which would make it impossible for TMcel subscribers to ring Vodacom numbers, AIM reported.  Vodacom said it has been forced to take this decision because of a large debt run up by TMcel, currently at MZN 600 million. This has arisen from TMcel's alleged failure to comply with their interconnection contract.
