Vodacom, MTN blame lack of spectrum after report points to high data prices

Vodacom and MTN South Africa have blamed the government for its failure to release mobile spectrum, after a report from the competition regulator found that data prices are too high in South Africa. Vodacom noted that it has cut the effective price of data by around 50 percent since March 2016.
