Vodacom South Africa FY service revenue climbs 7%

Vodacom South Africa's service revenue increased by 7 percent to ZAR 56.41 billion in the year ended 31 March compared with ZAR 52.71 billion a year erlier. The growth was fuelled by higher demand for connectivity, particularly in prepaid and Vodacom Business, and new services such as IoT and financial services. The performance was enabled by investment in new services, networks and digital IT capabilities such as business and artificial intelligence (AI). Revenue increased by 10.3 percent, underpinned by service revenue growth, a recovery in equipment sales and growth in tower sharing
