Vodacom Tanzania donates TZS 10 mln to flood victims

Vodacom Tanzania has donated TZS 10 million to the Red Cross to boost its efforts to help victims of the recent floods in Morogoro and Kilosa districts in Morogoro Region. Residents of Dumila in Morogoro Region have experienced heavy floods leaving hundreds homeless and without food. Red Cross chairman George Nangale said after the disaster, Red Cross took quick measures by helping them with basic needs such as 300 bed nets, 300 blankets and 160 buckets of water. The aid reached the victims 24 hours after the disaster had happened, he said.
